Jim began his ropes course experience with a dulfersitz rappel that left him burning for more. He has 35+ years of adventure education, facilitation, strategic planning, leadership development and team building practice. He guides potent ropes course experiences for youth and adults. As a University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) advisor, Jim developed adventure education programs and trained leaders in several California counties, the former USSR and Ethiopia.

As a UC strategic planning coordinator Jim served three campuses and the statewide UCCE service. He is a specialist in group facilitation and effective meeting process technologies. Also expert in leadership and team development, Jim has created programs for diverse University, agency and business groups.

In his spare time, you can find Jim traveling with his family, cruising back roads on his motorcycle, boating inland waterways, cooking simple fare, musing on the wonders of life and nature, or just hanging out with his wife and three dogs.
